William “Bill” Prince

With over four decades of experience in the live event industry, William “Bill” Prince is a highly respected production expert known for his technical precision, calm leadership, and ability to execute complex, large-scale events with excellence.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, and an alumnus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Bill began his career in 1992 with Event Technical Services (ETS) in Los Angeles. There, he built a strong foundation in power distribution, generators, staging, lighting, and HVAC, supporting some of the most iconic events in the world.
His early work includes major productions such as the Super Bowl (Pasadena), the Rose Bowl, the Academy Awards, Power and Services Lollapalooza “93,” where he gained a pivotal foothold in the industry.
Bill later joined Illumination Dynamics, continuing to lead technical production for high-profile events, including the X Games and multiple Super Bowls across major U.S. cities.
The Time in Boston
Returning to Boston in 2015, Bill brought his expertise to Capron Lighting and Sound, contributing to landmark events such as:
- Boston 4th of July on the Esplanade
- Boston Calling Music Festival
- Fenway Park Concert Series
- Gillette Stadium productions
- Commencement ceremonies for leading academic institutions
In 2022, Bill transitioned into freelance work, bringing decades of experience into a more flexible and collaborative model. Through this shift, he developed the concept for GSD Production Services, a platform designed to connect top-tier freelance professionals, fostering a network to collaborate, share resources, and deliver high-level production services and equipment with excellence.
Through his freelance work, Bill expanded his collaborations with 4Wall Entertainment in Nashville, Tennessee, where he continues to thrive as a trusted production professional. His projects include work at the Ryman Auditorium and the Music City Center in Nashville, along with numbers, show preps, and technical operations at the 4Wall Nashville shop.
This evolution reflects Bill’s belief that the strongest productions are built through connection, bringing together experienced professionals, clear communication, and a shared commitment to quality execution.
